PPM is known as planned preventive maintenance in the facilities management industry. PPM is a varierty of different aspects of maintenence which are carried out in regular service visits by an engineer to fix any problems that have risen and to ensure that everything is operational which avoids any unscheduled breakdowns.

Different assests require a different level of maintenence which can range from weekly to yearly depending on the type of asset. Please see below for reccomended service and maintenence frequency:

  • Fire Extinguishers – Annually
  • Air Conditioning – Every 6 Months
  • Emergency Lighting – Weekly/ Monthly
  • Fire Alarms – Every 6 months
  • Technical Gases – Every 6 months
  • Boilers & Pumps – Anually
  • Intruder and Fire Alarms – Every 6 months
  • Lifting equipment – Anually
  • Water Flushing – Weekly
  • Water Sampling – Every quarter
  • On-site Generator – Every 6 months

Our 24 hour helpline enables us to be contactable at all times an ensures that all calls are taken swiftly. This helps us to react to callouts and dispatch the appropriate engineer(s) as soon as possible. We would normally allow 4 hours to respond to an emergency call however measures have been put in place over the last 12 months in order to decrease the average time between the first phonecall to arrival on site. Our reaction times will obviously be dependant on locality and complexity of the works. By 2018 we hope to have our reaction time down to 3 hours.
